Chenyi travel
Wudang Mountain is the most famous holy place of Taoism in China, with a very long history and cultural heritage. It is also a religious holy place highly praised by the royal family in the Ming Dynasty, which gives people infinite beautiful reverie and expectation. Here, I will share with you the ultra-detailed travel strategy of Wudang Mountain.
I don't know what time you mean by usual. It's just spring now, and it's not the most beautiful time to Wudang Mountain. It's normal that there are fewer people on working days than on ordinary holidays. In fact, there are many people visiting Wudang Mountain every year.
In 2017, Wudang Mountain received a total of 8.881 million Chinese and foreign tourists, achieving a tourism income of 5.25 billion yuan, up 16.75% and 22.09% respectively.
A total of 8.88 million tourists is not a small number, which ranks among the top five scenic spots in China. In 2017, only 3.5 million tourists visited Shaolin Temple, 3.36 million tourists visited Huangshan Mountain and 2.634 million tourists visited Huashan Mountain. In 2017, the number of people traveling to Wudang Mountain far exceeded that of the nearby brother scenic spots.

Matters needing attention in Wudang Mountain tourism:
1. Pay attention to address: Taoist priests should be addressed as "Taoist priests" and "Master" respectfully, and should not be directly called "monks" or "Taoist priests", and even insulting names can not be called "aunts" or "grandmothers".
2. Pay attention to etiquette: The common way to greet a Taoist is to hug each other with two hands, hold your left hand and raise your right hand to your chest, and bow your head slightly (that is, bow your hand) to show respect, and avoid shaking hands, hugging and touching the Taoist's first-class etiquette.
3. Pay attention to your speech: When talking with Taoist priests, you should not mention your age and date of birth, nor should you mention marriage or obscene words, so as not to arouse their disgust.
4. Pay attention to customs: When Taoist priests are fasting (eating), chanting and sitting quietly, tourists should not disturb them. As Taoist priests, they should not answer, because Taoism has a taboo of "three can't afford".
5. Pay attention to manners: don't talk loudly, point out and discuss, ridicule or tamper with the offerings and statues of the temple, especially don't touch and point out the statues. In case of Taoist activities, you should stand silently or leave quietly.
Tickets:
The ticket for Wudang Mountain is 248 yuan/person, including the scenic spot ticket 140 yuan, the ticket 100 yuan, the insurance 3 yuan and the map 5 yuan. Tickets for Wudang Mountain can be used to visit Prince's Slope, Xiaoyao Valley, Nanyan Palace, Qiongtai and other scenic spots, but Jinding, a must-see place in Wudang Mountain, is charged extra. The ticket for Jinding of Wudang Mountain is 27 yuan/person. Tickets for Zixiao Palace are 15 yuan/person. The price of ropeway is upward 90 yuan/person and downward 70 yuan/person.
Transportation:
If you sit at Wudang Mountain Railway Station, go out of Wudang Mountain Railway Station, turn at the intersection, and take bus No.203 and get off at the terminal. The bus fare is 2 yuan/person, so it is recommended to prepare the change in advance. When you get off the bus, walk along the sign, and after crossing the mountain gate, you can buy tickets for the scenic spot in Jinjie, Wudang Mountain. There are many people calling for chartered cars near Wudang Mountain Railway Station. In fact, there is no need to take a taxi.
Accommodation:
There are many hotels (slightly upscale) in Yinjie Street at the foot of Wudang Mountain Scenic Area. Qiongtai and Nanyan are also places with more accommodation (the price is relatively civilian). Jinding has only one hotel in Jinding VIP building. If you want to watch the sunrise the next day and don't want to get up early in the morning to climb the mountain to Jinding, then staying in the VIP building is the best choice. It's just that the price of the VIP building is a little expensive. At that time, we stayed in the tent room where Jin resisted, which cost 200 yuan a night.
Tour route:
There are generally two tour routes in Wudang Mountain:
① Take a bus to Nanyan in the tourist service center of the scenic spot, walk from Nanyan to Jinding (it takes about 3 hours), then walk from Jinding to Qiongtai, and then return to the tourist service center by bus from Qiongtai;
②
Take a bus from the tourist service center to Qiongtai Pavilion, and take a cable car from Qiongtai to Jinding (about 2 hours' walk). After playing in Jinding, you can walk down the mountain to Nanyan, and then return to the gate of the scenic spot by bus from Nanyan.
It doesn't matter if you don't understand it. I will give you a map when I buy the ticket, and I will understand it at a glance.
Tips for playing:
Cars in the scenic area can ride for free, and the mountain road is a bit steep. Remember to fasten your seat belt. Wudang Mountain is very big and there are many small scenic spots, which can be arranged according to personal physical strength and route.
Qiongtaiguan is the location of Wudang Mountain cableway, and Taizipo is a transit station of Wudang Mountain.
Jinding is located at the top of Tianzhu Peak, the highest peak of Wudang Mountain, and it is a must-see place for Wudang Mountain. The Jindian of Jinding is the essence and symbol of the whole Wudang Mountain architecture.
Nanyan Palace, a cliff-hanging palace, is also a must-see place for Wudang Mountain. The dragon head incense in Nanyan Palace is very interesting.
Wudang Mountain tickets do not include Zixiao Palace. Personally, I don't think Zixiao Palace is a must, but it depends on personal choice.
Entering Wudang Mountain Scenic Area, if you don't go out for a few days, it's no problem. If you go out of the scenic spot, it seems that you need to add money to enter the mountain for the second time. Therefore, if you want to visit for a few more days, it is recommended to live in the mountains. One is to save trouble, and the other is to watch the sunrise and sunset conveniently;
The best viewing place for sunrise and sunset in Wudang Mountain is Jinding. It was April when we went, and the sunrise time was about 5: 50; There is a big temperature difference in the mountains, so remember the spare parts coat; If the weather is good during the day, it will be sunny, and girls should do a good job of sun protection;
In the process of climbing the mountain, there may be mountain pickers asking tourists for money. It doesn't matter if they want to give it or not.
Crow is a symbol of good luck in Wudang Mountain.
Don't take pictures of the Buddha statue when you are in Jinding;
It is understandable that the price on the mountain in the scenic spot is high, and the scenic spots all over the country are similar. Three cucumbers on the mountain cost ten yuan, and two or three tomatoes cost ten yuan If you eat, a vegetarian dish costs twenty or thirty dollars.
