Famous mountains planted tea, which began in the Western Han Dynasty, is the earliest place in the world where there are written records of artificial cultivation of tea trees. The history of tribute tea has never stopped from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty for 1169 years. In 1959, Mengding Mountain was rated as one of the top ten famous teas in China, so Mengding Mountain was regarded as the birthplace of world tea culture, the birthplace of world tea civilization and the holy mountain of world tea culture by the world tea people.
Many indicators rank among the best in the country.
After years of cultivation, especially in recent years, the county party committee and government have formulated and implemented the strategy of "making the tea industry rich in the county", and the tea industry has achieved leap-forward development. By the end of 2011, the tea garden area in the county reached 301,700 mu, accounting for 1% of the national tea garden area, 9% of the whole province, and 52% of Ya 'an City. The per capita tea garden area in the county was 1.26 mu, with an output of 42,000 tons. The output value of farmers' fresh leaves reached 1.212 billion yuan, with a comprehensive output value of 3.5 billion yuan. The per capita tea garden area in rural areas ranked first in the country, and the output value, improved variety rate and mechanization rate of tea were the highest.
Industrialized management is deepening.
First, the tea planting base covers the whole county. Of the 20 townships in the county, 16 have tea gardens with an area of 10,000 mu, 192 villages produce tea, 90% of farmers take tea as their main industry, there are 70 grain-free villages and 450 grain-free cooperatives, and the land with 614 square kilometers of famous mountains has become a spectacular "tea sea" with green mountains, beautiful waters and green tea. Mingshan attaches great importance to the quality and safety of tea products, strengthens the law enforcement and supervision of the agricultural resources market, establishes and improves the agricultural resources chain management system and agricultural resources sales card system, and prevents banned high-toxic and high-residue pesticides and fake and shoddy agricultural resources from flowing into the base from the source. A monitoring system of tea plant diseases and insect pests with the county as the center and towns as the link was established. Eight professional monitoring and forecasting points of tea plant diseases and insect pests were established in towns and villages, and a disease and insect pest forecasting system for tea garden safety production management was formulated, which timely and accurately released disease and insect pest forecasting information and reduced the number and area of pesticide application. Every year, 40 technical trainings on tea garden management, safe production and picking are completed, more than 4,000 tea farmers are trained, and more than 10,000 production technical materials are printed and distributed. Through the implementation of the safe and efficient tea base construction project, the "Top Ten Tea Industry" enterprises in the county have established 35,000 mu of core demonstration bases, driving 35,800 farmers. This year, Mingshan focused on the construction of a safe and efficient tea base, vigorously promoted green prevention and control technology, and established six tea demonstration areas and a standard garden. At the same time, the county has established 15 tea garden management service centers, and the area of the core production demonstration base for green prevention and control has reached 12,400 mu.
Second, tea processing and marketing enterprises have gradually formed a scale. In 2011, there were 786 tea processing enterprises in the county, with a total industrial output value of 2 billion yuan and sales income of 1.9 billion yuan, including 33 tea processing enterprises above designated size, with a total industrial output value of 1 billion yuan and sales income of 900 million yuan. In order to further effectively integrate tea resources, improve the intensive level of tea industry, and vigorously promote the market influence and brand awareness of "Mengdingshan Tea", Mingshan County Government issued the Interim Measures for Mingshan County to Support the Development of Tea Group Companies, encouraging enterprises to unite and develop together, and set up eight Mengdingshan Tea Group companies successively. The Mingshan County Party Committee and the county government have carried out leadership contact and departmental assistance to eight tea industry group companies in terms of construction land, power supply, financing services, technical transformation projects, product research and development, marketing, etc., and have relatively concentrated and focused on policies and funds, doing everything possible to support the group companies to make "Mengdingshan Tea" bigger and stronger. Through introduction and cultivation, there are 19 leading enterprises at the provincial, municipal and county levels in the county, among which Mingshan Tea, Langsai Tea Factory and Mengdinghuang Tea rank among the leading enterprises at the provincial level in agricultural industrialization, forming an industrial pattern with complete varieties, fine processing, a certain scale and product management level, mainly famous green tea.
Third, the construction of tea service system is improving day by day and working effectively. The county party committee and government set up a leading group for tea industrialization and a county tea industry development bureau to organize, guide and coordinate the development of tea industry in the county. Strengthen the administrative law enforcement supervision of agriculture, industry and commerce, quality supervision and other departments; Each township has set up a leading group for tea industry development, and implemented township tea technicians. County Tea Association, Tea Chamber of Commerce, Tea Society and other mass organizations (non-governmental organizations) all do their best to play an active role in the development of tea industry and the promotion of tea culture in the county.
Fourth, the strong financial support, innovative bank-enterprise cooperation model. In recent years, Mingshan has established two tea guarantee companies, which are expected to raise 100 million yuan for enterprises throughout the year. Continue to carry out the joint guarantee group established by the credit union among tea processing households to help solve the financing difficulties.
Fifth, the cultivation of improved varieties of tea trees has achieved remarkable results. In the 1980s, famous tea science and technology personnel bred Mengshan series provincial-level fine tea varieties such as Mengshan 9, 11, 16 and 23, and in recent years, they also bred provincial-level fine tea varieties such as Mingshan Baihao 131, Mingshan Zao311 and Mingshan Tezaoya 213, bringing the number of provincial-level fine tea varieties bred by Mingshan to seven. In 2005, Mingshan Baihao 131 was approved by the National Tea Variety Approval Committee as a national-level tea variety, and became the second national-level tea variety selected after the founding of our province. Relying on the demonstration of Sichuan Mingshan (national) tea seed breeding farm, the breeding scale and level of Mingshan tea seed breeding have been further improved, and the promotion effect has been remarkable. The county can breed 900 million nursery clonal tea seedlings every year, accounting for more than 90% of the province's clonal tea seedling production. Besides the deployment in Sichuan, it is also sold to tea areas in Yunnan, Guizhou, Shaanxi, Gansu, Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan and Guangxi, and the famous mountain has been established.
Sixth, the three-dimensional tea garden promotes income increase. In recent years, Mingshan has vigorously developed "tea+osmanthus", "tea+ginkgo" and "pig-marsh-tea" ecological tea gardens. In the demonstration area of 10,000 mu and 100 million yuan of tea, in order to maintain biodiversity and increase the income of tea farmers, Mingshan vigorously promoted the three-dimensional ecological cultivation model of "tea+osmanthus", "tea+ginkgo" and "pig-marsh-tea". At present, the county has promoted 68,000 mu of "tea+cinnamon" and "tea+ginkgo" as the main ecological tea gardens, and 50,000 mu of "pig-marsh-tea" recycling ecological tea gardens, among which 40,000 mu of "tea+cinnamon" and "tea+ginkgo" ecological tea gardens have been promoted in the demonstration area of 10,000 yuan, accounting for 80% of the demonstration area; "Pig-biogas-tea" circular ecological tea garden covers 12,000 mu, accounting for 20% of the demonstration area.
Become a strong county in the province's modern agricultural industry (tea) base.
First, Mengdingshan tea has been protected by national geographical products (national geographical indication products protection). Mingshan has been established as the first batch of demonstration base counties of pollution-free agricultural products (tea) production in China, the national standardization demonstration zone of high yield, high quality and high efficiency of tea, the national demonstration base counties of "Three Green Projects", the national demonstration base counties of high-quality tea industrialization under Spark Plan, the national demonstration base counties of improved varieties of tea, the demonstration base counties of famous and excellent tea in Sichuan Province, and the central area of Mengdingshan tea project under "South Tea and North Grass Project" in Sichuan Province. At the end of 2010, Mingshan was rated as a strong county in the province's modern agricultural industry (tea) base.
The second is to formulate and improve the quality standard system and inspection and testing system of Mengdingshan tea. The national standard of Mengshan Tea (GB/T18665-2008) (revised edition) was promulgated and implemented. Sichuan Tea Testing Center was built and put into operation in a famous mountain, and the certification trademark of Mengdingshan Tea was approved and registered by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. The production of the standard sample of Mengdingshan tea not only further standardized the product standard of Mengdingshan famous tea, but also made Mingshan the second owner of the standard sample of famous tea in China.
Third, among the five major strains of Mengdingshan tea, 16 enterprises and 83 tea products have obtained the national pollution-free agricultural product certification. Six enterprises and 25 products have obtained the national green food certification; Two enterprises and two products have obtained the national organic tea certification, and 60 enterprises have obtained the national food quality and safety QS certification; The certification trademark of "Mengding Mountain Tea" and "Mengshan" brand of Mingshan Tea Industry, "Jinye Bazaar" brand of Langsai Tea Factory, "Mengding" brand of Mengding Imperial Tea, "Yuehua" brand of Yuehua Group, "Zongyu" brand of Yugong Group, "Huangmingyuan" brand of Huangmingyuan Group and "Mengding Mountain Tea" brand.

Tea production has become the backbone project of economic growth in famous rural areas and increasing farmers' income. In 2011, the tea industry alone achieved a per capita net income of 3,376 yuan, with an added value of 562 yuan in that year, accounting for more than 52% of the per capita net income of farmers. The tea industry directly drives the local rural surplus labor force to transfer to the tea industry on the spot, reaching 11,000 people all the year round and transferring 60,000 people seasonally.
