Baoxiang Temple Scenic Area, now a national AAAA-level tourist scenic spot, is a Buddhist cultural theme scenic spot integrating sacred objects, Buddhist study experience, tourism and leisure.

Baoxiang Temple was built in the Northern Wei Dynasty, formerly known as Zhaokong Temple. When Song Zhenzong closed Mount Tai for meditation, it was stationed in Gewen, and it was named Baoxiang Temple by the royal government, thus making it a royal temple with the reputation of "a scenic spot in the Northern Dynasty and the first scene in the East". Monks gather in the temple, with morning bells and drums and cigarettes lingering around. Baoxiang Temple is a thousand-year-old temple, a temple with many historical sites, a temple with Buddhist sacred objects, and a temple with prosperous flowers and trees.

Entering Wenshang County, we walked Baoxiang Road from south to north, and turned west to find Baoxiang Temple, a Buddhist holy place in China. This temple was built in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and it was Zhaokong Temple in the Tang Dynasty. When Emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty closed Mount Tai, it was changed from Zhaokong Temple to Baoxiang Temple, which has been used ever since. For thousands of years, this temple has been destroyed and repaired, and it was overhauled when it was renamed in the Song Dynasty. No matter how it was repaired later, it is not as majestic as it used to be.

In 1994, 141 Buddhist relics, such as Buddha's teeth, relics, gold coffins, silver combs and crystal bottles, were found during the maintenance of the Prince's Soul Tower in Baoxiang Temple. The appearance of Buddha's tooth and relic of Sakyamuni has caused a sensation throughout the country, shocked the world and aroused strong repercussions from people at home and abroad. In 1994, the foundation stone was laid and the tower palace of Baoxiang Temple was rebuilt.

Master Shi Shengji, an authentic twenty-seventh generation descendant of Linji, is currently the abbot of Baoxiang Temple. He has followed many eminent monks and practiced diligently since he was a child. Taking Zen and pure luck as the purpose of practice, we advocate the positive and enterprising thought of human Buddhism, strive to conform to the roots of modern people, interpret the ancient Buddhist wisdom in modern language, and use Buddhism to restore the life with the wisdom of the times. Master eloquence is humorous, and he often integrates profound Buddhist teachings into easy-to-understand speeches, doing his best for the Buddhist cause. He has worked in famous temples such as Shaolin Temple in Henan, Jiuhuashan Buddhist College and Wutai Mountain. He has been invited to give lectures and spread teachings in major Buddhist colleges and monasteries in Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, India, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan for many times.
