Guanyin scenic spot

Guanyin Village, Guanyin Township, is located at the midpoint of Taoyuan coastline. It is a long-developed town together with the neighboring Xinwu Township. There are some scenic spots such as Guanyin Temple in Ganquan Temple and Baisha Cape Lighthouse. Although it lives in a corner of the Cape, it is quite famous.

Ganquan Temple was originally named Kannonji. During the Guangxu period, there was a sudden spring next to the temple. The spring water was sweet and clear, and it was said that it could cure all diseases. Villagers competed here to get water for drinking. Kannonji was renamed Ganquan Temple, and villagers set up a Ganquan well where the spring water gushed out, and built a small pavilion to worship the statue of Guanyin. Since then, miracles have spread far and wide, and temples have been continuously renovated, resulting in today's magnificent scale, which has long been the belief center of local residents.

Looking from Ganquan Temple to the seaside, you can see the white round white lighthouse rising from the ground. The lighthouse was completed in 1901. The tower is made of brick and is 36.6 meters high, making it the second tallest lighthouse in Taiwan. Dongyanshan forest recreation area

Dongyanshan Forest Recreation Area is located between the mountains at the junction of Taoyuan County and New Taipei City. It is the largest forest recreation area in northern Taiwan Province.

The forest resources in the park are mainly Cryptomeria fortunei plantations stretching for hundreds of hectares, and other natural broad-leaved trees such as Lauraceae and FAGACEAE are scattered among them. In the lush forest, there are many birds, insects, amphibians and rare plants on the flat land. It is suitable to watch birds and butterflies along the stone steps ramp. Nearby, there is a precious pure beech forest in Taiwan Province. From the end of October to January every year, the leaves turn from yellow to red, and the beauty of the scenery is not lost to maple.

Facilities such as visitor center, landscape garden, landscape trail, self-guided forest trail, forest bathing place and fossil area have been completed in the park. There is an ecological education exhibition room in the tourist center, which is the first stop for tourists to know the forest; The self-guided trail behind the center is the center of gravity in the whole region. Visitors can visit more than 10 scenic spots such as Haohanpo, Shellless Snail, Living Fossil, five blessings and Lover's Umbrella with folding pages and with the explanation boards along the trail to enjoy the fun of natural observation. If you follow the main trail, you can climb to the top of Dongyan Mountain at an altitude of 1212 meters, overlooking the landscape of Fuxing, Three Gorges and Taipei Basin, and enjoy the pleasure of being in the world. It takes about two and a half hours for the whole trail to go around; Those with less physical strength can go down the mountain first along the footpath branch line on the mountainside. The East Eye hillwood road at the bottom of the tourist center is like a forestry exhibition trail, which leads to the fossil area to watch the biological relics thousands of years ago. At the end of the forest road, there is a memorial stone for afforestation, which records the hard history of deforestation and afforestation in the East Eye Mountain. Xiaowulai Waterfall Scenic Area

Xiaowulai Waterfall Scenic Area is located in Yunei Creek Valley, and is famous for its fresh and beautiful waterfalls and canyons, especially Xiaowulai Waterfall, Longfeng Waterfall and Pneumatic Stone. The whole region is full of the beauty of primitive nature.

Xiaowulai Waterfall is the end of a series of waterfalls in the local area. The waterfall water rushes down along the steep mountain wall, and the spray is soaring and the water is dense, so it is named because it looks like Wulai Waterfall in Taipei County. The waterfall takes the four-story observation deck beside the highway as the best observation point, and there is another path below the observation deck to reach the waterfall. Enjoy the waterfall on the small bridge across the valley, and the water vapor rushes through the valley, which is another sight.

The pneumatic stone is about 5 meters high, and the bottom touches the ground at 7 points to support the weight of one or twenty metric tons, which is quite amazing. Jiaobanshan park

Jiaoban Mountain is located in the upper reaches of Dahanxi in Fuxing Township, with an altitude of 636 meters. The climate here is mild in all seasons, with numerous peaks and fresh air, so it has the reputation of "Lushan Mountain in Taiwan Province".

Jiaoban Mountain Park is located in the south of Jiaoban Mountain, with towering ancient trees and more than a dozen tall maple trees, which often attract people's thoughts with their poignant maple red in late autumn.

In one corner of the park, there are stone steps that can reach the bank of Dahan Creek, and there is a suspension bridge connecting the Xikou terrace on the other side. The appearance of the platform is a four-story stepped terrain, surrounded by high peaks in Shaanxi and valleys, and the Dahanxi meanders to the side, overlooking the stone steps, with a panoramic view of the mountains and waters.

Taoyuandaxi

Covering an area of more than 20 hectares, the two Chiang Mausoleums are actually divided into two places, both of which are traditional quadrangle buildings, surrounded by mountains and rivers. It is said that the scenery of Daxi Town is similar to Xikou Town, Fenghua, Chiang Kai-shek's hometown. He changed the quadrangle-style "Dongkou Hotel" built here into a pavilion and renamed it "Cihu Hotel" to express his memory of his mother. During Chen Shui-bian's tenure, he made great efforts to "go to Jianghua". On December 24, 2007, the Taiwan military suspended the opening of Cihu and Touliao Mausoleum, and officially withdrew its whistle on New Year's Day in 2008. After Ma Ying-jeou became the leader of Taiwan Province, Taiwan Province's "Armed Forces of the Three Armies" returned to the Mausoleum of Two Chiang Kai-shek in Taoyuan County at 9: 00 am on June 21, but they only moved in from 9: 00 am to 5: 00 pm on holidays or important festivals, and handed over exercises every hour.

Cihu Lake, commonly known as Yiwei, is located in Daxi Town, Taoyuan County. It is an artificial reservoir, divided into two lakes, which are connected by streams. At that time, Chiang Kai-shek's scenery was so pleasant that it was similar to his hometown Fenghua, Zhejiang Province, so he named it "Cihu" in memory of his loving mother, Mrs. Wang Tai. After Chiang Kai-shek's death, the coffin was laid here, and the remains of his son Jiang Jingguo were also placed here. "The day of Chiang Kai-shek's death was the middle of the night in Tomb-Sweeping Day, and it was raining cats and dogs. On that day, all the streams in Cihu rose and became one piece ... The most troublesome thing was to shoot the funeral of Jiang Gong. In order to maintain a solemn atmosphere, we could not flash, so we had to set up a tripod and shoot it slowly." Outside the gate of Cihu, Mr. Wu, a reporter from the United Daily News who personally experienced the era of "two Chiang Kai-shek", gave me an oral history.

Unfortunately, the Cihu Mausoleum was forced to close due to the removal of the military police stationed by the Democratic Progressive Party authorities, and I could only stop outside the gate with a green roof and a black column. Fortunately, there are 141 statues of Chiang Kai-shek in the sculpture park outside the mausoleum, which can still be visited. These statues were originally scattered in every corner of Taiwan Province. When Chen Shui-bian was in office, he promoted "de-China" in the name of "de-Chiang Kai-shek" and demolished the statues of Chiang Kai-shek all over Taiwan. At that time, the visionary Taoyuan county government "went against the wind", collected these abandoned statues of Chiang Kai-shek, and connected the scenic spots of "Two Chiang Kai-shek" in the county to promote the trip of "Two Chiang Kai-shek Cultural Park" to save for the business opportunities after opening up mainland tourists.

These statues cover the images of Chiang Kai-shek in various periods, ranging from the heroic spirit that jumped immediately during the Northern Expedition War to the meditation bust, but most of them are statues with crutches of different sizes, and the backs of the statues have been bent. Shihmen Reservoir
