Shule county tourism

Since 2008, Shule County has planned and constructed seven key tourism projects: Zhang Qian Park, Zhang Qian Memorial Hall, Shule History Museum, Science and Technology Cultural Center, nordland Style Garden, Baiguo Ecological Park Scenic Area and Populus euphratica Forest in Yafuquan Desert. By 2013, all the seven tourism projects had been completed and put into use.

Zhang Qian Park, which was rebuilt on the former oxidation pond, is divided into three functional scenic spots: historical and cultural area, folk customs area and children's entertainment area. In the park, Zhang Qian Memorial Hall, Shule Historical Museum, Science and Technology Cultural Center and Bowang Bangchen Hotel have been built, with facilities such as double eaves pavilion, beer house, teahouse and sketch sculpture, and 15,000 fruit trees and landscape trees in southern Xinjiang have been planted, with a green area of 400,000 square meters. It has been rated as a national AAA-level tourist attraction by the Quality Evaluation Committee of the Autonomous Region Tourist Attractions.

The Shule History Museum exhibits the war, commerce, economy and other items left by Shule, a major Silk Road town for more than 2,000 years. Nordland Style Garden covers an area of 90 mu, with facilities such as grape promenade, orchard, banquet hall, coffee (tea) bar, children's amusement park, swimming pool and folk song and dance hall. Baiguo Ecological Park has a high-standard grape corridor of 4.5 kilometers, more than 500 mu of fruit trees with more than 70 varieties and 500 mu of green pollution-free vegetables. Populus euphratica forest in Yafuquan has the conditions of military development training, horseback riding, camping, horse racing, sheep riding, sand skiing, desert cross-country and so on.
