How much does it cost to travel in Xiamen for three days?

Blog / 11/23/2024

Tell me about the cost of my poor trip to Xiamen when I was a student. The total cost for three days is about 800 yuan.

Starting from Zhuzhou, Hunan, it takes 15 and a half hours by train to Xiamen. There is no money when studying, but there is plenty of time. The one-way fare is 150, and the round-trip fare is 300 yuan.

At that time, four girls and I booked a twin room for 200/ night, 50/ night each, which was similar to the price of staying in a youth travel service. We stayed for two nights, and the accommodation fee was 100 yuan.

On the first day, we visited Xiamen University and Huandao Road. Xiamen University was free, and there was no bike-sharing on Huandao Road at that time. The four of us rented two battery cars, 100 yuan/car. I spent a total of 50 yuan on the day of play.

The next day, I went to Gulangyu Island and got a round-trip ticket to 50 yuan. I didn't buy a pass to Gulangyu Island, so I went to a scenic spot in Riguangyan. The ticket seems to be 30 yuan. We spent a total of 80 yuan on this day.

On the third day, I visited the Botanical Garden. The ticket seems to be 40 yuan/person. The Xiamen Botanical Garden is very big. After a whole day's visit, the most impressive thing is that the cactus is very big.

In terms of food, we save, about 50 yuan every day. On the first day, I ate in Xiamen canteen, saying that Xiamen University canteen was really good, and the food was much better than our school canteen.

On the afternoon of the third day, we were ready to return, and the visit time was just three days. In this way, the fare is 300+ accommodation is 100+ tickets for scenic spots (ferry 50, Sunlight Rock 30, Botanical Garden 40)+ meal 50x3=680 yuan.

There are also some spillover consumption, which is what 800 yuan looks like in my memory.

Accommodation is about 100, in fact, online search, a lot.

If you want to be romantic, stay in Gulangyu Island, but the good ones usually need to be booked in advance, about 200 yuan a night. It seems that there are more than 300 people who are slightly famous. A petty bourgeoisie like Naya is very popular with young people. In fact, when you go to Gulangyu Island, take a closer look. Many family hotels mainly depend on your own preferences. You can go in and see the environment and decide whether to book.

Living in a youth hostel is economical and practical. In fact, as a student, I recommend a youth hostel. Xiamen is not very big, with developed transportation and convenient facilities. You don't have to live in Gulangyu Island. You can choose a hostel near the ferry (Gulangyu Island) or with a direct bus.

Spend four days in Xiamen, not counting the fare, play the mainstream scenic spots, eat more snacks and shop properly. 1500 is a little tight, but it is ok to plan it well, and I will give you a fulcrum.

1. Try to take the bus. Most of the buses on the island are in 1 yuan, and they are air-conditioned, so that you can sit comfortably. Some boarding doors above 1 yuan are marked.

There are many scenic spots in Xiamen that are free, so you don't have to have tickets.

Personally, I think many scenic spots on Gulangyu Island are actually optional. For example, if you don't pay much attention to overlooking the panoramic view of Gulangyu Island, then "Sunlight Rock" is actually unnecessary. There are many "chicken ribs" scenic spots that need to be charged, which are purely personal opinions and your own decisions.

3. A. There are several places that don't cost money to recommend for your reference: Xiamen University, Xiamen University Baicheng, Huandao Road, Zhongshan Road ... I want to add some more.

B: The ones that spend less money are: Nanputuo (a temple near Xiamen University, with a ticket price of three yuan) and Yefengzhai (no tickets, just a seaside amusement park, depending on what you like to play, generally 10 yuan/item, and the price of seaside barbecue varies).

By the way, buy water before going to Gulangyu by boat, because the water on the island is very expensive. When you go to Gulangyu, don't pay attention to those "enthusiastic guides", don't buy so-called "Xiamen specialties", especially don't buy seafood on it, or you will be slaughtered. The classic foods you can buy in Gulangyu are: fish balls, frozen bamboo shoots, Satay Noodles, fried oysters, pies, "golden fragrant" dried meat floss, etc. These are classic snacks with fixed prices. Specifically, you can go to Baidu again, and then make a small note. When you go to the island, you will find it as interesting as looking for a treasure.

Then there are many petty bourgeoisie cafes on Gulangyu Island, which are not very expensive. You can choose your favorite one, sit down for afternoon tea and chat with friends, which is very comfortable.

If you eat, you'd better make a good investigation in advance. Many classic snacks in Xiamen are hidden in alleys.

You can ask me again if you have any questions ~
