Dushanzi mud volcano

Dushanzi Mud Volcano is located about 1 km southwest of Dushanzi City, and to the north of Dushanzi Mountain's main peak, there is a hill covered with loess, named "Mud Volcano", which was formed 700,000 years ago with an altitude of 958.3 meters and a relative height of about 200 meters. "Mud volcano" is a natural phenomenon in geology and a rare natural landscape in the world. It is a mud mound formed by underground natural gas under the action of pressure, carrying water, mud, sand and debris along the formation cracks and constantly ejecting from the surface.

At present, the original eruption that formed the mountain is well preserved. Since 2000, the "mud volcano" has shown signs of intermittent eruption.
