First, the location of Yunnan on the map of China

Yunnan is located in the southwest border of China, and the Tropic of Cancer runs through the south of the province. It is adjacent to Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guizhou Province in the east, Sichuan Province in the north and Xizang Autonomous Region in the northwest. The border of Yunnan is 4060 kilometers long, and the countries bordering it are Myanmar (Ruili, the main port), Laos (Mohan, the main port) and Vietnam (HeXie Tonghekou, the main port).

Second, the topography of Yunnan

The whole province is divided into three steps, with the first step in the areas of Deqin and Shangri-La counties in northwest Yunnan, the second step in the central Yunnan Plateau, and the third step in the south, southeast and southwest, with an average descent of 6 meters per kilometer. Basins and plateaus are commonly known as "bazi" in southwest China.

Third, the climate of Yunnan

There are various climate types in Yunnan province, including seven temperature zone climate types, namely, north tropical zone, south subtropical zone, middle subtropical zone, north subtropical zone, warm temperate zone, middle temperate zone and plateau climate zone. Yunnan's climate has the characteristics of low latitude climate, monsoon climate and mountain plain climate.

IV. Rivers in Yunnan

There are more than 600 large and small rivers in Yunnan Province, of which 180 are larger, mostly in the upper reaches of rivers entering the sea. The famous Jinsha River, Nujiang River and Lancang River meet here, with dangerous peaks and canyons criss-crossing, long history of rivers and streams, and dotted with lakes and hot springs.

Yunnan is rich in tourism resources, from Kunming, the provincial capital (the venue of the World Horticultural Exposition) to Dali scenic spot ("the snowy moon in front of the flowers"), from Lijiang (the highland water city) to Zhongdian (the magical Shangri-La), and then to Xishuangbanna (the peacock dance), as well as the stone forest (the first wonder in the world), Yuanmou soil forest and the "Three Rivers" flowing side by side (the river is narrow and the water is fierce)

It refers to the ten scenic spots of Wan Li Great Wall, Guilin Landscape, Forbidden City in Beijing, West Lake in Hangzhou, Suzhou Garden, Huangshan Mountain in Anhui, Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, Sun Moon Lake in Taiwan, chengde mountain resort and Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses in Xi 'an, which were initiated by China Tourism News in 1985 and organized by the people all over the country after more than half a year's appraisal.
